Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about ShillerLearning curriculum, kits, and support.

Choosing the Right Curriculum

What ages and grades do your kits cover?

ShillerLearning offers curriculum for Pre-K (ages 3+) through Pre-Algebra. Math Kit I covers Pre-K through 3rd grade, Math Kit II covers 4th grade through Pre-Algebra, and our Language Arts kits cover Pre-K through 4th grade. We also offer a Fractions Kit for all ages.

How do I know which kit to start with?

We recommend using our diagnostic placement tests, which identify any gaps in your child’s knowledge and place them exactly where they need to be — regardless of their age or grade level.

Can I switch from another curriculum without leaving gaps?

Absolutely. Our comprehensive diagnostic tests are specifically designed for families switching to ShillerLearning. They pinpoint exactly where your child should begin so no concepts are missed and no time is wasted on material they’ve already mastered.

Curriculum & Teaching Method

What does “Montessori-based” mean?

Montessori education emphasizes hands-on, self-paced learning using physical manipulatives, sensory engagement, and a child-led pace. ShillerLearning weaves Montessori language, activities, and philosophy throughout every lesson — no prior Montessori experience required.

Is there lesson prep required?

No. Our scripted lessons mean zero lesson prep time. Simply open the book and read what’s in quotes. Parents with no teaching background or Montessori experience can start immediately and teach with confidence.

How long does a typical lesson take?

Lessons are designed to be flexible and child-paced. Most families spend 20–45 minutes per session, but children progress at their own pace — there’s no pressure to rush through material before a child has truly mastered it.

What’s in the Box

Can multiple children use the same kit?

Yes — one kit works for all children in the family. Consumable pages are available as free downloads, so your cost per child decreases with each additional student. Many families find their per-child cost is less than $29 per year.

Do I need to buy replacement consumables?

No. All consumable worksheets and activity pages are available as free downloads from your account, so you can print them as many times as needed for every child in your family.

Are digital versions available?

Yes. Digital kits include all lesson plans, songs, and printable manipulatives — ideal if you already have physical Montessori materials or prefer a download-only option. Browse our digital kits.

Ordering, Shipping & Returns

What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. Open and use the materials. If your child is not transformed into a more confident student within 30 days, send back the kit and we will return your money — no questions asked.

How can I track my order?

Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. You can also log in to your customer account to view order status at any time.
