ShillerLearning is the trusted Montessori-at-home math program for 4-to-13-year-olds and language arts program for 3-to-10-year-olds. Many thousands of parents worldwide have entrusted ShillerLearning to provide their children with the finest possible mathematics and language arts education.
Founded in 2002 by Larry Shiller — a graduate of MIT with a degree in mathematics — ShillerLearning’s goal is for students of all abilities to fulfill their potential through the finest possible curriculum for use in the home.
ShillerLearning developed its curriculum with input from PCTE (Princeton Center for Teacher Education), a premier American Montessori Society teaching certification program, and child learning and psychology experts.
Our Philosophy
Although Montessori-based, ShillerLearning requires no previous subject knowledge or Montessori training on the part of the educator. Our philosophy is simple: children aren’t taught — they learn. We are here to provide the finest possible learning tools for your children to reach their full potential. As the educator, all you need to do is provide the right learning environment. ShillerLearning — and your child — provide the rest.
Children who use our curricula gain advantages previously only available to wealthy families who could afford $20,000–$30,000 per year per child to attend a Montessori school.
